Photodynamic Acne Therapy This combination therapy begins with a thorough cleansing followed by the application of levulanic acid. The acid is allowed to incubate on the skin for one hour and is then activated by pure blue light. This process helps to destroy p acne bacteria and reduce or destroy overactive oil glands. Photodynamic Acne Therapy is administered in a series of four treatments.
